Honor is bringing its first foldable smartphone called the Honor Magic V. Ever since Honor split from Huawei to become an independent brand, the company has actively brought many new smartphones, and this will mark the company’s first step towards foldable smartphones.
The teaser shared by the brand on Webio doesn’t reveal much but simply showcases two panels connected by a hinge.
Honor has not yet shared any other information about the upcoming smartphone. It's even hard to tell if the smartphone will feature a book-like fold (like Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Oppo Find N) or a clamshell fold design (like Galaxy Z Flip 3).

Rumors about the Honor Magic V suggest that the device will be the first folding smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. A recent leak about the device mentions that it uses display panels of BOE and Visionox. Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to launch in January.
Official details about the Magic V are not out yet, but we’ll definitely get some more information in the upcoming days.
