The sales of subcompact SUVs in India and Nepal as well is taking a fast pace. There is a very strong demand for sub-4M SUVs that OEMs even haven’t been able to meet the demands of their consumers. 

Top brands like Skoda, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, etc. have been the best-selling brands under this segment. 

Here, we have listed the Top-3 Best-Selling subcompact SUVs in India last month.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

The comeback of the new iteration of Maruti’s popular SUV- Vitara Brezza has been a great turn for the Indian automaker. The carmaker has been able to sell 10,760 units of Vitara Brezza in the month of November compared to 7,838 units in the same period last year. This is an impressive growth of 37%. 

Although the car market is facing a huge problem of global chip shortage, the sales figure of Maruti Suzuki has remained impressive. 

The new Vitara Brezza adopts a 1.5L K-series petrol engine that delivers a peak power of 103bhp alongside a peak torque of 138Nm. This engine unit has both a 5-speed manual as well an automatic gear transmission option.

Tata Nexon 

On the second rank is Tata’s popular SUV Nexon. The Tata Nexon registered 9831 units sales last month compared to 6,021 units in the same period last year. This is also a mesmerizing sales growth of 63%. 

The new Tata Nexon is available in both petrol as well as diesel engine options. The 1.2L turbocharged petrol unit delivers a power of 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. This one is available on both 6-speed manuals as well as AMT options. 

In the same way, the 1.5L diesel unit generates 108bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. This engine is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Hyundai Venue

Since its first launch, Hyundai Venue has been able to win the hearts of many SUV fans. Last month, the popular sub-4M SUV from a South Korean family stood at the third position of best-seller. Hyundai has managed to sell 7,932 units of Hyundai Venue in the month of November. This is a 14% sales drop compared to 9265 unit sales in November 2020. 

Under the hood, the Hyundai Venue derives its power from a 1.5L diesel engine with 99bhp power and 240Nm torque. This engine unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In the same way, there is also an option for a 1.0L Turbo GDi engine delivering 118bhp power and 172Nm of torque. 

Similarly, in the petrol option, a 1.2L engine is available that delivers 82bhp of power and 113.76Nm of torque.
