As of 2021, SUVs from different brands are all set to make their official debut in 2022 as well. Moreover, carmakers are now heavily focusing on SUVs rather than other vehicles due to its emerging market.
Because of this, we have been hoping for a lot of SUVs in the coming years. Here, we have listed some highly anticipated SUVs from different brands slated to launch in 2022.

1. New-gen Maruti Vitara Brezza
Maruti Suzuki is planning for a new facelift model of its popular offering- Vitara Brezza. The SUV is also spied testing around various places in India. The new generation Vitara Brezza model is expected to be powered by the Heartect platform with additional safety features than its predecessor.
Moreover, it is expected to be branded as the next-gen Urban Cruiser in the market.
2. Tata Punch Turbo
Tata Punch is currently available only on a naturally aspirated 1.2L petrol engine which is fine on cities but doesn't match for long highway tours. Well, to solve that issue, Tata Motors is planning to bring a new 1.2L turbocharged engine as an option. This unit is likely to churn out a power of 110PS.
3. Citroen C3
French automaker Citroen brands the new C3 hatchback as a ‘hatchback with a twist’. The design of the sub-4M SUV is similar to that of its elder sibling- C5 Aircross.
This one will be powered by a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine with the latest tech features. The new Citroen C3 might make its debut by early 2022.

4. Jeep Meridian
Jeep recently unveiled its new 7-seater SUV- Commander in the International market a few months ago. This SUV is expected to arrive in India with the name ‘Meridian’. This one will be mated to a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine with 200PS power and a 9-speed automatic transmission gear option.
5. New-Gen Mahindra Scorpio
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will also be adopting new design elements. The SUV’s front fascia will feature a signature Mahindra grille followed by twin-pod headlamps and flared wheel arches.
The rear-view mirrors in the new-gen Scorpio are expected to be equipped with blinkers. Roof rails and multi-spoke alloy wheels are also some of its updated design elements.
Like the XUV700, the new Mahindra Scorpio will also be getting a brand new Mahindra logo.
6. Skoda Kodiaq facelift
Skoda’s popular SUV- Kodiaq is also coming up with a new change in 2022. Unlike previous diesel-powered models, the SUV is coming up with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol motor. The new Kodiaq facelift is likely to go for sale around early January.
7. Maruti Suzuki Jimny
Maruti Suzuki's much-awaited model- Jimny is also launching next year in India. The carmaker is likely to equip a 5 door version of Jimny for the Indian market.
In terms of the wheelbase and length, the 5-door version is going to be 300mm longer than the 3-door version. The Jimny-5 door will now adopt a length of 3850mm, 1645mm width, and 1730mm height followed by 2550mm of wheelbase. Here are the revealed details of the Jimny-5 door SUV.
Similarly, as for the engine, the car will be getting a 1.5L Petrol engine churning out a power of 102PS.

8. Maruti-Toyota SUV
Toyota in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki is planning for a mid-sized SUV in India. This SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.5L petrol engine (105PS) under Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA).
This will be a replacement to the S-Cross and launch by the second half of 2022.
9. Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai Motors has set up its first plant in Indonesia. The new-generation Hyundai Creta will be the first car to be manufactured in the plant. And now the company has made public the sketch of the interior design of the 2022 Hyundai Creta after the exterior design reveal.
Based on the sketches that have been made public, Creta Facelift is sure to come with a very muscular body design and unique graphics. Due to its very premium and contemporary design, Creta is one of the most popular models in the family.
The dashboard, which extends horizontally to the long door, gives the front of the vehicle a very aggressive, excellent, and distinctive look. The new dashboard also seems to play a very important role in passenger safety.
10. New-gen Hyundai Tucson
Hyundai is also planning for a new-generation Tucson for the Indian market. As per reports, the new generation Tucson is likely to get a hybrid/plug-in-hybrod powertrain. The test mule of the SUV has been spotted several times on roads of India.
