Sales of Yamaha's popular MT-15 motorcycle have plummeted in India. In January 2022, Yamaha sold only 17 units of the MT-15, prompting various comments about its future.

According to Indian media, Yamaha has stopped production of MT 15, which is currently available in the market. It is interesting to note that the company sold 6,168 units of MT 15 in January 2021, only a year later it was limited to 17 units.
