After two top automakers—Bajaj and TVS Nepal have switched their motorcycle assembling game towards the home ground Nepal, another popular automaker Yamaha has also planned to do the same. MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. the sole distributor for Yamaha motorcycles and scooters in Nepal has planned to take forward this step.
The firm has now been planning on assembling all the Yamaha vehicles in Nepal itself. As per the company, it has been working diligently to set up a new manufacturing plant in Nawalparasi, Nepal.

The firm has decided to select this point (Bhairahawa) as this place resides around customs checkpoint while importing goods from India which makes the assembly works more feasible. Moreover, if everything goes as per their plans, we will finally be able to witness Nepal-assembled Yamaha motorcycles starting 2022.

Currently, Yamaha has been selling models such as the FZ-series, MT-15, R15 V3.0, Fascino, Ray ZR in the Nepali market. Besides this Yamaha also sells premium-expensive models in the Nepali market. Once Yamaha Nepal fully sets up its new manufacturing plant in Nepal, we might be able to buy Yamaha motorcycles at discounted rates.
