Yamaha MT-15 and R15 soon arriving with a new tech feature, any guess?

Yamaha’s classic machine, R15, and MT-15 are soon coming up with a new tech feature as a part of the brand’s forthcoming update for the entire range. And speaking of the new update, it is probably going to be a Bluetooth Connectivity option.

Currently, Yamaha machines like the FZS-Fi features Yamaha’s Motorcycle Connect X option while the recently launched Yamaha FZ-X employs Y-Connect Feature. Both of them are the Japanese automaker’s own Bluetooth modules, while it is still unknown which of these will be infused with Yamaha's updated range of machines.

However, as per recent reports, Yamaha Y-Connect residing as the latest BT Connectivity module by the firm, the upcoming updated MT-15 and R 15 is likely to employ this module.

This feature allows Yamaha users to get phone and SMS call alerts, monitor the device’s battery level, fuel consumption, last parked location, maintenance recommendation, and malfunction notification as well. It can be operated via Yamaha’s official app (Y-Connect).

Considering the new connectivity feature (Y-Connect) addition in the new range of Yamaha bikes and scooters, the prices of the machines are also going to be hiked. Seemingly, Yamaha MT-15 is also likely to get dual-channel ABS features in its updated version.

We might witness this update from Yamaha in the next few months.
