MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the official dealer of Yamaha for Nepal, is preparing to launch two new motorcycles. The company has been testing these two models for the past two months.

The company is testing the Yamaha FZX and R15 V4. The company has stated that these motorcycles will be made public after some time.

The two models of motorcycles being tested by the company in the Nepali market are both BS6 standards.

Yamaha FZ-X

Yes, that's right. Yamaha's lately launched machine in India, FZ-X is also making its debut in Nepal. Since its early launch in the Indian market, this retro-classic two-wheeler gathered tons of fans and customers in the Indian market. And in the Nepali market too, the bike is expected to follow the same trail.

The new Yamaha FZ-X adopts a teardrop-shaped black fuel tank alongside a unique circular headlamp and aluminum brackets on both sides.

More on, the motorcycle gets full LED taillights with conventional turn signal lights. Falling under the FZ-series, the FZ-X seems to inherit some design elements from there.

However, comparing it to FZ, the new FZ-X has broader dimensions- Length (1990mm), Width (780mm), and Height (2020mm). This one has a wheelbase of 1330mm similar to the FZ series.

Powering the Yamaha FZ-X adventure is a 149cc, air-cooled SOHC engine delivering a power of 12bhp at 7250rom along with 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The bike’s engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox transmission. It borrows its suspension setup and braking from its sibling, the Yamaha FZ series. This one also adopts a single-channel ABS system.

Glancing at its exciting feature, the retro-classic Yamaha machine also gets an LCD instrument cluster upfront that displays the details such as tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, ABS indicator, odometer, and more. Additionally, it is also infused with a Bluetooth Connectivity feature that connects via smartphone and offers features such as SMS alert, rev meter, battery level indication, oil-check timing, incoming call, parking record, bike locating, and so on.

Yamaha R15 v4

Yamaha's newly launched machine in India, the fourth iteration of the classic racer- R15 is also coming to Nepal. Unlike the previous v3 model, this one comes with a horizontal design line as we could witness in the YZF-R1. This new design gives a more sporty and muscular look to the bike. The new YZF-R15 uses a single bi‐functional Class-D LED headlight that also emphasizes the presence of the M-shaped intake duct.

For improved cornering and cornering performance, the new YZF-R15 equips an upside-down front fork with 37mm inner tubes for higher rigidity. Similarly, a newly designed front suspension provides a perfect strength-rigidity balance to perform great at uneven surfaces.

Powering the 2021 YZF-R15 is a 155cc 4-stroke liquid-cooled SOHC 4-valve engine delivering a peak power of 18.4PS at 10,000rpm alongside a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7500 rpm. The VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) motor of the bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox transmission.

Well, these Yamaha machines could arrive in Nepal in a month or two. We hope Yamaha Nepal is planning on rolling out the new options in the upcoming Nepali New Year 2079. Until then, stay with us for more updates.
