TVS Apache RR 310 launched in India, coming to Nepal very soon!

TVS unveiled their flagship bike, the TVS Apache RR 310 at India a few days ago. The Apache RR 310 is priced at Rs. 2.05 INR and is priced below the KTM RC390. When our team contacted the representative at Apache, he told that the date of launch is yet to be decided but none the less, it will make its way into Nepal very soon.

TVS Apache RR 310 is company's first fully faired motorcycle and is also the first 300cc segment motorcycle. In fact, the single cylinder DOHC engine churning out 34 bhp of power @9500 rpm is sourced straight from BMW G 310 R. The motorcycle is being manufactured at TVS manufacturing plant in Hosur, India. Let's quickly run down through the specs of the TVS Apache RR 310 first:

Displacement 312.2 cc
No. of Cylinders 1
No. of Gears 6
Maximum Power 34 HP @ 9700 rpm
Maximum Torque 27.2 NM @ 7700 rpm
Seat Height 810 mm
Ground Clearance 180 mm
Kerb/Wet Weight 169.5 kg
Fuel Tank Capacity 11 litres
Top Speed 160 kmph

The RR 310 will compete with the Duke 250, KTM RC 390 and the Bajaj Dominar in Nepal. The bike looks really nice and better than its competition. The reliable engine and gearbox also add value to this motorcycle. The bike does really well on the track. The 810mm of seat height also means that it will be just as comfortable to ride on the Nepalese road. If anything, it has a much better seating position when compared to the KTM RC series.

The ground clearance of the Apache RR 310 is also excellent. 180mm of ground clearance will be enough to prevent the underbelly to scrap from the huge speed breakers that we have in Nepal. The single cylinder means that it won't sound as sweet as the Benelli 302R but nonetheless, the exhaust note is sweet. The design of the bike is what impressed me the most. The body looks as though it is housing a 600cc motor and nothing less. And the curves and creases, all of them serve one purpose or the other. The only disappointing thing about this bike has to be its punt 11L fuel-tank.

The pricing of the TVS Apache RR 310 is extremely competitive and people will definitely keep the bike on their wishlist. We can expect the bike to make into the market in the first quarter of 2018. If we hear any news about the bike including its launch date and the pricing, we will keep you guys updated.
