Paramount Motors, the sole distributor for MG vehicles in Nepal has expanded the construction of its charging station and service centers in Nepal. MG is currently a leading player in the EV market of Nepal.
Sachin Aryal, GM of Paramount Motors informed that the company is aggressively working on the construction of charging stations and service centers as the sales of MG electric cars are increasing day by day in Nepal.
The company, which has sold more than 300 units of MG cars in Nepal currently has only one service center in Nepal at Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu. The firm is now planning on building a new service center at Ekantakuna, Lalitpur. It has already purchased a 3 ropani land at the spot while a well-equipped service center is going to be built there soon.
Despite the high number of customer bookings, the company says, it has not been able to provide the required units. The company aims to sell more than 250 units by Dashain while reaching 700 units milestones this year.
The company has been aggressively advancing the construction of charging stations as well as expanding vehicle sales. Aryal informed that the company is going to build charging stations in major cities and highways of the country as the sales of MG vehicles are increasing in major cities of the country.
The company is constructing 30 kW fast charger (DC) stations in 10 places of the country and 7 kW capacity (AC) charging stations in 20 places. The company has stated that the 7 kW charger can fully charge the vehicle within 6 hours.
