Kia had launched the Niro hybrid crossover in 2016 which imposed quite a stylish finish and design. And after 2 years, Kia had again launched their new vehicle, the Kia e-Niro which is in fact a completely electric car.

Comparing to the previously launched Kia Niro (Hybrid), the new e-Niro has received some changes in the outer structure and design, and most importantly, the new e-Niro is completely an electric car.

In the American market, it is known as Kia Niro EV while around the European market is Kia e-Niro. And the good news is that the new Kia e-Niro has recently been launched in Nepal too. Continental Trading Enterprises(CTE), is the authorized distributor for Kia Motors in Nepal.

The firm (Continental Trading Enterprises) has been selling electric vehicles in Nepal for several years. And this time it’s the turn for the new Kia e-Niro. Kia has now been a great name in the world of automobiles while in the category of e-vehicles too, the firm is a well-known name.

In general, the new Kia e-Niro can also be called the brother of the Hyundai Kona Electric which is also another popular electric model by Hyundai. The new Kia Niro EV can in fact be a strong competitor for Hyundai as both of these models share a similar powertrain.

The Niro EV receives a unique futuristic design with Kia’s trademark tiger-nose grille with a twist along with a charging port integrated into it. The Kia e-Niro SUV is powered by a 64 KW battery which is integrated with a 150KW electric motor in SUV. Also, the recently released EVs, including Kia e-Niro provides optimum battery performance than the previous models. The new e-Niro model has a great battery performance which provides great mileage along the journey.

According to the company (KIA), the e-Niro can drive up to 485 km on a single full charge while on urban roads, it can go up to 615 km.

Additionally, the crossover gets redesigned air intakes along with arrow-shaped LED daytime lights combined with a light-blur trim highlight which together emphasizes the innovative design and profile of the car. More on, the e-Niro adopts a 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheel that holds premium diamond-cut-two-tone which adds elegance to its exterior. Inside the vehicle, you will get a spacious cabin that is very much reliable for maximum occupants.

The interiors of the Niro EV also get a new design look and finish, most prominently, the ‘dial-style’ shift knob. On the driver’s front, you’ll get a 7-inch LCD display which allows the rider to check driving and electric powertrain information. Followed by it, the infotainment system allows locating the nearby charge stations while monitoring the charge level and status too.

According to the statement claimed by the firm, the car takes 54 minutes to charge up to 80%. The 150KW engine in the car produces a 201hp power and 395Nm of torque while accelerating at 100km/h in 7.8 secs.

The electronic system integrated into the e-Niro is designed to provide maximum energy optimization and recovery. The firm also provides an official guarantee in the battery as well as the electric motor for 7 years or 160 thousand kilometers.
