Google Pixel 7 Series Specifications and Features
Design
Design-wise, the Pixel 7 series sees minor changes over the Pixel 6 series. The bar-shaped camera island that spanned the device's width is now made out of polished aluminum, and it runs into the side rails of the smartphone. Last year’s Pixel 6 series had the black bar cut off at the edges.
Like the Pixel 6 series, the vanilla Pixel 7 will feature a dual-camera setup, while the Pro model will feature a triple-camera setup. Besides, the camera bar now has a pill-shaped cutout to hold two cameras. The Pro model has an extra circular cutout to house the third camera.
In addition, the series also ditches the dual-tone color design on the back panel that was on the Pixel 6 series.
Possible Specs
On the specs front, both the Pixel 7 series phones are said to feature the 2nd gen Tensor chip. This Tensor 2 chip will likely maintain the 2+2+4 CPU core configuration with two Cortex-A78 cores instead of A76 cores. If this rumor comes true, the Tensor 2 chip will be a slight upgrade over the 1st gen Tensor.
The major upgrade on the Pixel 7 series will be the Android 13. It will be the first smartphone series to ship with the Android 13 operating system out of the box. Besides, there are rumors that Google will use Samsung’s new S6E3HC4 panel to replace the old S6E3HC3. It will provide 200nits of extra brightness to the pro model of the Pixel 7 series (from 800nits to 1000nits).
Moreover, other possible specifications of the Pixel 7 series are in the table below:
