Along with the FZ-S and FZ-X, Yamaha has updated its two motorbikes—Yamaha MT-15 and R15. Compared to their previous version, both models now get minor cosmetic and functional updates.

2023 Yamaha MT-15 and R15
The 2023 version of the Yamaha MT-15 has a design that is largely similar to its previous version. It spots a single-pod projector headlight, twin LED DRLs, a side-slung exhaust, and a muscular fuel tank. However, the updated version of the bike now features LED turn signals instead of halogen turn signals.
Additionally, Yamaha has introduced a new Metallic Black DLX color option for the MT-15, which will be available alongside the existing color options - Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-Vermillion, and Racing Blue. It's worth noting that all of the color options come with a different shade for the alloy wheels.
Apart from minor changes in design, Yamaha has also added a traction control system in MT-15. Previously, this safety feature was offered in R15 only. Moreover, the MT-15 now gets dual-channel ABS, as opposed to the single-channel ABS offered in previous models

Similarly, Yamaha has also updated R15 with LED turn signals. With this, the R15 now has an all-LED lighting setup, as the existing versions already have LED bi-functional headlights, LED position lights, and LED tail lights. The R15 has also been updated with a new colored TFT instrument console that displays a range of information.
Cosmetic enhancement for R15 includes the introduction of a new “Dark Knight” paint scheme. This new paint option will be sold alongside the existing color options: Metallic Red and Racing Blue.

Much of the hardware remains the same for the 2023 versions of MT-15 and R15. Both models share the same 155cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, SOHC, engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. In terms of output, it churns 18.4 PS of maximum power at 10000 rpm alongside 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. Likewise, the engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh transmission with a slipper and assist clutch mechanism.
