South Korean carmaker Hyundai’s best-selling model-Creta is soon coming up in an upgraded version. The company plans to launch this updated version of the SUV in November 2021. However, before the official launch, the company has recently revealed its interior and exterior pictures.

According to reports, the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift model will be first launched in Indonesia while it might arrive in India by 2022 and further launch in Nepal too.

Design Inspired from Hyundai Tucson

The front look of the new Hyundai Creta 2022 will be influenced by the next generation Tucson. Hyundai's sleek sporty design along with the newly designed parametric grille will give it a new look. The new model will have a slightly wider headlamp unit compared to the old model. Its LED DRL is taken from New Tucson.

The new Creta facelift is also expected to include new bumpers, new faux skid plates, and fog lamps, redesigned alloy wheels, and split taillamps.

Sharp rear fascia

The rear of the new Hyundai Creta is also designed in an Angular Appeal. It still has a sharp taillamp with a redesigned boot lid. Overall, it still has a rear fascia with a sharp design.

 

Engine and Transmission

The new Hyundai Creta is expected to be introduced in Indonesia in 2022 with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The SUV is expected to come with 1.5 liters naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4-liter turbo petrol, and 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine options. The naturally aspirated petrol engine generates 115 bhp of power and 144 Nm of torque.

The turbo petrol engine generates 140 bhp of power and 242 Nm of torque. The 1.5-liter diesel engine generates 115 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque.

Tata Punch Launched in India | Price, Features?

As in the current model, the 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift Turbo petrol variant will only have a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The SUV model lineup will be available with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter, and automatic gearbox option.

Although there is no detailed information about the engine, it may have an updated petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. This will allow the new Creta to be more efficient.

 

Addition of iMT gearbox

Another added feature would be the IMT gearbox, which Hyundai first used at the venue. The clutchless manual gearbox will now be available in Hyundai Creta as well.

 

Other Features

There will be no change in the interior layout of the 2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift model. But it will include various new features. The new model will include a head-up unit, 360-degree camera, and some advanced features including ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance systems). Other features will be the same as in the current model.
