The major upgrade on the iPhone SE 2022 is the six-core A15 Bionic processor with a 16-core Neural Engine capable of 15.8 trillion operations per second (TOPS). It is the same chipset used by the iPhone 13 series and brings 5G connectivity support to the budget offering of Apple. Users can choose up to 256GB storage option, and the device boots on the latest iOS 15. 

The efficient A15 chip also brings improvement in the battery life of the iPhone SE 2022. According to Apple, the smartphone can deliver up to 15 hours of video playback or up to 50 hours of audio playback on a single charge. There’s support for 20W wired charging and Qi standard-based wireless charging as well.

Design and Display 

When it comes to design, the new iPhone SE retains the same outdated design as the iPhone SE 2020. It is the same design that debuted with the iPhone 6 back in 2014. The device has a glass back,  IP67 certification, and three different color options - Midnight, Starlight, and (PRODUCT) RED. 

Talking about the display, you’ll get a 4.7‑inch LCD panel with resolutions of 1334 x 750 pixels. It has an oleophobic coating and a peak brightness of 625nits.

For optics, there’s a single 12MP rear camera with features like Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, and Photographic Styles. It can record 4K videos at 60fps. Upfront is a 7MP camera sensor for selfies and video calls. 

Connectivity options on the iPhone SE 2022 include sub-6GHz 5G, Wi‑Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and a Lightning port. Furthermore, there's a home button with Touch ID support for biometrics.
