Along with the New Year’s message to his employees, Huawei’s chairman Eric Xu wrote that the firm’s annual revenue of the year 2019 has exceeded to 850 billion Chinese ($122 billion) which is in fact, a whopping increase of 18% compared to the last year 2018’s sales figure.
In the year 2018, Huawei had been able to surpass the US $100 in its annual revenue for the first time. While this year (2019), the Chinese tech giant has again been able to reach a new milestone. The firm had been able to sell 240 million units of handsets in 2019 which is 34 million greater than the previous year (2018).

In the message Chairman Xu also added, “These figures are lower than our initial projections, yet business remains solid and we stand strong in the face of adversity, and success came despite the concerted efforts to keep us down by the US government.”
He added that the company would focus on sustaining growth, boosting its capabilities, "optimizing" its organization, and controlling risks.

As the US government has not allowed its allies to use Huawei’s 5G equipment in their networks, not every country has reflected a positive response on this matter. The British government has allowed Huawei to provide Britain’s 5G network while India has also allowed the Chinese tech giant to participate in trials of its 5G spectrum.
