With the previous launch of the G310GS and G310R models in Nepal, Himalayan Motorrad, the sole distributor for BMW Motorrad in Nepal has now again launched the all-new BMW F 850 GS in the Nepali market.

Himalayan Motorrad has opened their booking for this new beast F 850 GS in their BMW showroom which is located at Naxal, Kathmandu.

With the first release of BMW GS models around the early year 2007 in the market, these models have never failed to live up to the bike lover’s expectation. As BMW has designed these models with a vision to represent premium adventure segment bikes, the bike is a perfect fit for long distance and off-road performance. If we are to discuss on the road condition of Nepal, the bike is a perfect companion for all the off-roads and remote areas of Nepal.

The new BMW F 850 GS can be tough competition for other adventure section bikes available in the Nepali market. Well, let’s have a glance at the major highlights of this new beast.

At first, the new BMW F 850 GS offers more torque and power than its previous GS models. This implies that it can be a perfect companion for off-road.

Similarly, speaking of the looks, BMW has designed a completely new look for their F 850 GS model. With the heavy looks on the front, the bike looks more masculine and powerful. The placement of a new LED headlight on the front also adds an elegant feel to the bike.

BMW F 850 GS has been designed with two powerful cylinder in-line-engine along with two counterbalance shafts.

With more than ten years of experience in designing the GS models, BMW Motorrad has designed and re-engineered this new beast exclusively with an objective to provide an uncomplicated and ultimate riding experience to the riders. The bike is a perfect fit for normal road riding, tours, adventure trip or any kind of off-road expeditions.

More on, BMW has designed the F 850 GS creating the balance of torque and power of the bike while fuel consumption levels have also been reduced. F 850 GS has the displacement of 853 ccs with the power output of 95hp at 8250rpm which is quite impressive.

The F 850 GS comes with a six-speed gearbox and a secondary drive placed on the left-hand side of the bike.

In addition, glancing on the frame design of F 850 GS, it is completely different compared to the previous model F 800 GS. The company has replaced the old tubular steel frame with a new sturdy double-girder steel structure.

To fit the best for rider’s requirement, the new GS model offers both the ‘Road’ and ‘Rain’ riding modes for the riders. With the amalgamation of both the BMW Motorrad ASC and ABS automatic control system, the machine can undoubtedly be the safest ride for all the road conditions.

The fuel tank has also been positioned at the perfect place which is between the rider’s seat and steering hand for better COG (Center of Gravity). Here, we have listed the detailed specifications of the new BMW F 850 GS.
