Aprilia India has recently launched two updated models of SR 125 and SR 160 in the Indian market.
The firm has brought both the scooters with some minor cosmetic updates and design as well as a BS6 standard engine. Compared to the previous models, the 2021 version of the scooter arrives with an INR 12-13,000 price hike.
Updates?
The design and style of the SR125 and SR160 are inspired by the RSV4 Superbike. The scooter's 'race' trim features RS-GP-inspired body graphics and a handguard. New V-shaped LED headlamps and LED taillamps can be seen in both models. Grab rails and aprons have also been changed.
Moreover, the scooter also features a split seat design and a new kick guard.
The updated Aprilia SR models are available in 5 different colors: Blue, Matte Blue, Gray, White, and Red. Both models have 14-inch alloy wheels and a 6-liter fuel tank.
An 11L under-seat storage is provided. The Aprilia SR 125 is equipped with an ABS braking system while the SR 160 gets a CBS braking.
The scooter is available with a fully digital instrument cluster, which provides information on speed, travel and fuel consumption along with a tachometer.
Engine?
Like the predecessor, the new Aprilia SR160 also gets a 160cc, 3-valve engine. The engine generates 10.9 bhp of power at 7600 rpm and 11.6 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm.
The new SR 125 also has the same 125 cc engine as before. The engine generates 9.8 bhp of power and 9.7 Nm of torque.
