Royal Enfield has recently launched the updated version of its popular model, the Royal Enfield Himalayan in India. The new 2020 RE Himalayan comes with upgraded BS6-compliant engine along with new dual-tone color options. It is the next model from the Royal Enfield family to adopt the new BS6-compliant engine after the Classic 350 dual-channel ABS.
Besides the engine upgrade and color options, Royal Enfield has not undergone any other mechanical changes in the bike. The 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a BS6-compliant 411cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled fuel-injected engine which delivers a power of 24.3bhp along with a peak torque of 32Nm. It is mated with a 5-speed gearbox transmission.

Moreover, the bike is fully equipped with dual-channel ABS while it also comes with a switchable ABS feature which can come very much handy across off-roads for which the bike is designed for. This switchable ABS feature on the motorcycle enables rear-wheel ABS control deactivation. Also, the 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with an enhanced braking mechanism and improved side-stand.
The two added bike’s color options are—Lake Blue and Rock Red. Besides this, it also comes with regular paint schemes such as Sleet Grey, Snow White, Gravel Grey, and Granite Black.

Price and Availability
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 2020 has already been launched in the Indian market while it is likely to pave its way towards the Nepali market in the next 2-3 months.
