Asus has launched its new gaming phone called the ROG Phone 6 Pro. It is the successor of the ROG Phone 5S Pro and brings a lot of upgrades. A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, 165Hz AMOLED display, and a large 6000mAh battery, to name a few.

On the performance side, the ROG Phone 6 Pro features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is built using TSMC 4nm process. Moreover, the smartphone offers a whopping 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Talking about battery and charging, the ROG 6 Pro packs a massive 6000mAh battery (3000mAh + 3000mAh) with support for 65W fast charging. In addition, there’re two USB Type-C ports, one on the bottom and one on the side. 

Cooling System 

Being a gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 6 Pro features an advanced cooling system. The upgraded GameCool 6 cooling system of Asus now has a 30% larger vapor chamber and 85% larger graphite sheet with a centered CPU design for efficient cooling. 

Moreover, the company claims the new design allows 360° CPU cooling with CPU temperature as low as 10°C.

Gaming Features 

The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is a dedicated gaming smartphone, so there are many gaming features. First, the AirTrigger 6 gets an upgrade with new gestures support. The two ultrasonic shoulder sensors now support new gestures such as Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming.

Next, the device gets a high-end X-axis linear motor for an immersive gaming experience. It can now deliver up to 130Hz vibration frequency with 20% improved power consumption, and 80% improved vibration acceleration. 

Moreover, the smartphone also brings accessories like a clip-on AeroActive Cooler 6 and Kunai 3 handheld console. According to Asus, all these add-ons will further enhance the gaming experience.
