YouTube Music soon to replace the Google Play Music | Comes pre-installed on Android 10 devices

Well, in this era of music and entertainment, listening to music has been kind of mandatory to most of the people. And when it comes to music, a smartphone is always the first choice as it is handy, portable as well as multi-functional. In the US alone, it accounted for over 80% of the entire music industry revenue in the first half of 2019.

And when it comes to music streaming apps, renowned names like Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Pandora has always come to the first place. As nowadays, all of the Android devices come with Google Play Music app pre-installed into it, well, you might soon see some change on it as Google will soon be shipping its latest Android 10 with YouTube Music app pre-installed in it. This announcement of breaking news for Android users was recently made by Google through their official YouTube blog.

However, Google has not mentioned the exact device names which will be shipping with the new Android music player but we might pretty much assume that the upcoming Google Pixel 4 is definitely gonna rock the YouTube Music app pre-installed into it. Although it might not come on all the other android devices, we can easily download it from the official Google Play Store.

YouTube Music

YouTube has around 2 billion monthly active users of which lots of the users are enjoying the YouTube Music app. From the recent report, it has suggested that there are around 15 million subscribers on the YT Music app as of May 2019. Likewise, the other music streaming apps such as Spotify and Apple Music has 223 million and 60 million subscribers respectively. However, the free version of YouTube Music doesn’t allow the users to play music in the background like the other music streaming apps like Apple Music and Spotify. YouTube Music was first released in the year 2015.

Furthermore, in the context of Nepal, the YouTube Music app has not been released in the country yet. Well, let’s hope that this new initiative by Google might do some wonders for Nepalese Android users.
