Xiaomi MI Band 4: An affordable fitness band with unlimited alluring features

After the major success of the Xiaomi MI Band 3, Xiaomi has now brought the new updated version of the MI Band 3 which is the MI Band 4. The Xiaomi MI band 3 had a very good global sales record and acquired great reviews from the users worldwide. In India alone, the firm had been able to sell over 1 million units of the MI Band 3.

This has proved that Xiaomi has gained great popularity and success not only around the field of smartphones but in wearables too. With the rapid growth on sales of wearables, the firm decided to introduce the successor to MI Band 3 and now finally released the MI Band 4.

The new MI Band 3 is, in fact, a great upgrade to the previous MI Band 3 as it comes with a super cool AMOLED color display and the surprising part for most of the gadget lovers is that the MI Band 4 also holds an affordable price tag.

The MI Band 4 adopts a 40% greater screen size than the previous Band 3 which held the 0.78-inch display. And the most alluring part of the new MI Band 4 is the AMOLED display that it flaunts its big screen.

More on, talking of the watch faces, you will get a total of 77 color watch faces (dial themes) in the device which is a pretty large number. Also, the big display of the band is shielded with 2.5D scratch resistant glass on the top which can be a life-saver for the fitness band lovers out there.

Coming to the next surprising facet of the band, the band comes with a total of 8 distinct band color options. Wow! It’s very cool, isn’t it? So, don’t worry if you don’t like one color, because you have 7 more options to choose from.

Now let’s highlight on the inside features of the band. This time the band features a new six-axis high precision accelerometer and advanced sensor aids which can be substantial while tracking sports activities. The MI Band 3 is now also able to recognize swimming strokes, be it Freestyle, Butterfly, Medley or Backstroke. So, the band can be very handy while tracking your swimming performance too. And of course, the Mi Band 4 is waterproof up to 50 meters depth and up to 5ATM pressure.

Besides swimming, the band can track 5 other sport modes too like exercise, cycling, running, indoor/outdoor and walking as well.

Well, the next feature of the band is really going to pump up your heart with excitement. This time Xiaomi has included a mic in the band and featured an in-built AI voice assistant (Xiao AI). This voice assistant lets you give voice commands to your device and operate various tasks in the device. With this, the user is also able to control IoT equipment via voice commands as well as other compatible smart devices.

Hold your heart again as this time Xiaomi has made the band also capable of performing digital payment by incorporating NFC in it. With this, the user can make payment for digital wallets like AliPay and WeChat Pay.

Finally, coming to the battery features, the Xiaomi MI Band 4 gets a 135mAh battery which can last up to 20 days in normal usage. The band comes in two different variants, one with NFC integrated into it while one without it.

Price and Availability

Most of us may not believe when we hear the pricing of the Xiaomi MI Band 4 as it comes with extremely affordable pricing for its features. The normal MI Band 4 (without NFC) comes with a price tag of 169 Yuan ($25) whereas the NFC variant costs 229 Yuan ($33) only. Recently, the firm has also released Avengers Limited Edition MI Band 4 with unique color blends and a custom metal dial and theme, relating avengers.

The Xiaomi MI Band 4 is now available in China only while the global availability of the device has not been fixed yet.

Overall, the Xiaomi MI Band 4 is a complete and perfect blend when it comes to a fitness band and when it comes to its pricing, it’s definitely going to hit the wearables and fitness market for sure.
