Vivo has unveiled the Vivo Y32 as the world’s first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 680 processor. The device brings a 5000mAh battery, dual-camera setup, and a 60Hz display. Design and Display

 

 

Vivo Y32 features a 6.51-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The display here has a 60Hz refresh rate, 16.9 million colors, and an 89% screen-to-body ratio. Vivo has offered the smartphone in two different color options of Harumi Blue and Foggy Night. The device has a thickness of 8mm and weighs 182 grams.

Performance

 

 

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 processor. This new chipset is built on 6nm process technology. It uses Qualcomm’s Kryo 265 CPU cores with up to 2.4 GHz frequency and features Adreno 610 GPU.

The chipset is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Vivo Y32 runs on the Android 11 operating system with OriginOS on top.

Camera

 

 

For optics, the Vivo Y32 features a dual rear camera setup of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Upfront is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera supports 10x digital zoom, while the front camera is limited to 2x digital zoom.

Battery and Others 

 

 

Vivo Y32 packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18-watt fast charging. The smartphone is claimed to deliver up to 27 days of standby time or over 18 hours of talk time on a single charge. There is a fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo Y32 price in China is CNY 1,399 for the sole 8GB RAM + 12GB storage model. Availability details about the smartphone on the global market are yet to be revealed. If the smartphone makes its way to the Nepali market, we expect the price to be around Rs.29,000
