Redmi Note 12 Series Announced with up to 210W Charging and a 200MP Camera

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 12 series in China. The series consists of smartphones like—Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, and Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition. Moreover, the Note 12 series is among the first smartphones to feature Dimensity 1080 processor.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is similar to the Note 12 Pro apart from the primary camera and the charging speeds. Instead of a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, the Note 12 Pro+ has a 200MP Samsung ISCOELL HPX sensor. This flagship 7P lens has an f/1.65 large aperture with 16-to-1 pixel binning and QPD autofocus. 

Next, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ bumps the charging speeds to 120W, which can fill the 5000mAh cell in just 19 minutes. Besides, the smartphone also features a 3000mm² VC liquid cooling heat dissipation area.

Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition Specifications

Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition is the same phone as the  Note 12 Pro+, but with different battery capacity and charging speeds. The battery size goes down from 5000mAh to 4300mAh; however, the charging speed gets a bump from 120W to 210W. 

According to Xiaomi, the 210W charging can fully charge the smartphone in just 9 minutes. Besides, the phone supports QC3+ / PD2.0 / PD3.0 fast charging protocol and ships with a 210W dual GaN charger.
