Oppo has launched the Oppo K9s in China. The smartphone brings a Snapdragon 778G processor, a 120Hz display, and a 5000mAh battery. Here, we will go through the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Oppo K9s in Nepal.

Design and Display

Oppo K9s features a 6.59-inch IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and has a 600 nits peak brightness. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate.  

In terms of design, Oppo K9s has a Micron-level matte body with a rectangular camera module. It comes in three color options of Magic Purple Quicksand, Neon Silver Sea, and Obsidian Warrior. The front camera notch is placed on the top left corner of the display.

Performance

Oppo has equipped the K9s with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. There is a Multi-dimensional composite liquid cooling system that uses a 0.15 mm sheet of graphite that helps carry heat to the vapor chamber.

Oppo K9s comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. There is virtual RAM technology, which expands RAM by up to 5GB. Users can also expand the storage using a MicroSD card.

Camera

For optics, the smartphone features a triple camera setup at the back. It consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide with 120-degree FoV, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Upfront is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is capable of taking a maximum of 4K videos at 30fps.

Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery capable of 30-watt fast charging and reverse charging as well. There is both facial recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Connectivity options on the Oppo K9s include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Oppo K9s Price and Availability

Oppo K9s price in China starts at CNY 1,499 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB model. The first sale will begin on November 1 in China. If the smartphone launches here in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.32,000.
