Oppo launches a new 5G smartphone called Oppo K9 Pro in China. The device comes with a Dimensity 1200 SoC, a 64-megapixel primary camera, and a 60-watt fast charging capability. Here, we will go through the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Oppo K9 Pro in Nepal.

Oppo K9 Pro Overview

Design and Display

Oppo K9 Pro features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode. It can get as bright as 800 nits and around 600 nits under sunlight. The device comes in two color options of Obsidian Warrior (Black) and Glacier Overture (Blue). It weighs 180 grams and is 8.5mm thick.

Performance

Moving on to the processor, the k9 Pro features a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset under its hood. This 6nm 5G processor can be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The device here operates on Android 11 based ColorOS 11.3. It also has a Diamond solid-liquid dual-state heat dissipation system for cooling.

Camera

For optics, there is a triple camera setup at the back of the Oppo K9 Pro. The setup consists of a 64-megapixel primary camera with Auto Focus (AF) and 79.5-degree FOV. It is followed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide with a 119-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Upfront is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. In terms of video recording, the rear supports up to 4K videos at 30fps, while the front camera supports 1080p videos at 30fps.

Battery and Others

Oppo K9 Pro is fueled by a 4500mAh battery and supports 60-watt super flash charging. Oppo claims that the fast charge is capable of taking the smartphone from 0% to 50% in just 16 minutes.

Connectivity options on the Oppo K9 Pro include WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the smartphone features both facial recognition and an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.

Oppo K9 Pro price in China starts at CNY 2,199 for the base 8GB + 128GB model. Consumers in China can pre-order this Oppo Mobile online via Oppo’s China website, while sales start from September 30. If the smartphone arrives in Nepal, we expect the price to start around Rs.45,000.
