Finally, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has recently launched their most awaited middle-weight segment motorcycle, the CB300R which is actually Honda’s second 'Neo Sports Café' model.
The design and look of the new CB300R is actually inspired by its older sibling, the CB 1000R Neo Sports Café which is another powerful beast by Honda. The ‘Neo Sports Café’ family is Honda’s minimalistic designed timeless powerful ride.
Overview
The new CBR300R comprises an absolutely minimalistic design yet it releases aggressive and power vibe on the outside. It is designed in a super-compact ‘trapezoid’ form which makes it look more elegant and unique. Well, Honda never compromises in the design of their bikes.
Talking of the exclusive casing and hardware of the bike, all the lights attached to the bikes are LED which makes it discrete from the crowd. The round metal rim headlights on the front along with the thin taillight mounted on the rear back of the beast never fail to add classy and superior feel to the bike. Looking on the rider’s front is a fully digitalized LCD display which provides the bike info such as speed, fuel level, gear position and the rpm itself.
Engine and Performance
Honda CB300R is powered with a 286cc DOHC 4-valve liquid cooled single cylinder engine which deliberately pulls the bike through every highways and town. Also, it has PGN-FI technology-induced in the engine which provides stronger performance. The bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with the multi-plate wet clutch. The two-room structure at the engine’s interior helps to produce an aggressive and powerful sound in the bike while riding.
The 286cc DOHC engine fitted on the bike produces 30hp @ 8000 rpm of power and torque of 27.4Nm @ 6500 rpm while the CB300R also successes to be the lightest weight bike in the 300cc segment. Also, the bike is claimed to be the BEST IN CLASS bike in terms of Torque-to-Weight ratio.
For the braking, both the front and a rear disc of the CB300R is modulated with 2 channel ABS working on FIRST IN CLASS Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This helps to maintain the stability of the vehicle even during a sudden braking operation.
Surprisingly, the CB300R also successes to be the lightest bike in its category weighing only 147kgs. The framing and styling of the bike provide smooth and stable handling for the riders. Overall, the design, structure, and technology operated on the bike undeniably prove that the CB300R is fit for most of the road conditions expressing an elegant performance.
Also, to reduce the maintenance costs, the CB300R is designed with minimal moving parts while the high-density core radiator, low-friction piston rings comprised in the bike deliberately helps to increase its fuel efficiency.
Honda CB300R comes in two different superior colors: Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Gray Metallic.

Honda CB300R Price in Nepal
As Honda CB300R is not currently launched in Nepal, it will soon be launched in next few months while the reports suggest that the CB300R will come with a price tag of around Rs. 15 lakhs in Nepal.
