Apple has announced its new M1 Pro and M1 Max processors. These two new ARM-based 5nm SoCs have 70% faster CPU performance compared to last year's Apple M1 chip. The two chips power Apple’s new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

Apple M1 Pro
The M1 Pro has a new 10-core CPU, with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. It has up to a 16-core GPU with 2,048 execution units. Apple promises 70 percent better CPU performance and twice the graphics performance compared to the M1.
Apple M1 Pro supports up to 32GB of RAM (integrated directly into the chip) with 200GB/s memory bandwidth. The processor has 33.7 billion transistors, which is twice the number of transistors on the M1.

Apple M1 Max
Apple M1 Max is even more powerful than the M1 Pro. It has the same 10-core CPU, with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. There is a 32-core GPU with 4,096 execution units. M1 Max has 70 percent better CPU performance and four times the graphics performance compared to the M1.
The M1Max also supports more RAM, up to 64GB with 400GB/s memory bandwidth. It has 57 billion transistors, making it the largest chip that Apple has ever made.
