AMD has announced its latest Ryzen 6000 series CPUs for laptops at CES 2022. The successor of the last year's Ryzen 5000 series is claimed to offer up to 1.3 times faster processing and twice the performance. 

The new Ryzen 6000 chips come in H-series and U-series. The H-series Chips are aimed at devices performing powerful tasks, gaming, or creative work, while the U-series chips are aimed at thin and light devices.

Codenamed the ‘Rembrandt’, these APUs feature AMD’s latest RDNA2 graphics and up to eight Zen3+ cores with enhanced power management features. They are based on a 6nm manufacturing process and the modern RDNA2 architecture replaces the Vega architecture. 

All the Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 models of the Ryzen 6000 series feature 680M GPUs with 12 GPU cores. The Ryzen 5 models of the series have Radeon 660M GPUs with 6 GPU cores. 

These new chips come with support for USB4 with data transfer rates at up to 40Gbps and HDMI 2.1 with support for high frame rates. There’s Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth LE 5.2 for wireless connectivity. Furthermore, the chips are claimed to provide a maximum of 24 hours of battery life.

AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs Availability 

The first set of laptops powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. We’ll see laptops with AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors from different brands like Razer, Acer, Asus, Lenovo, HP, and Alienware.
