Tecno Phantom X has a premium look and feels to it with its glass back and curved display. The display here is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. With FHD+resolutions of  1080 x 2340 pixels, the smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides.

Under the panel is a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. This 12nm chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Phantom X features a vapor chamber cooling system that is attached to the chipset. Tecno claims that the cooling system keeps the chip 3 -degree to 5-degree cooler. Additionally, the device operates on HiOS based on Android 11.

Phantom X features a triple camera setup at the back. The primary camera is a 50MP module with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and has laser autofocus. Complementing the primary sensor is a 13MP 50mm portrait lens and an 8MP ultrawide with 120-degree FOV. Upfront is a dual selfie camera setup with a 48MP main and an 8MP ultrawide with a 108-degree FOV sensor.

Powering the device is a 4700mAh battery that supports 33-watt fast charging. Tecno advertises that only a 30-minutes charge takes the smartphone to 70%. Furthermore, the device features a 3D face unlock and an under-display fingerprint sensor for security.
