Qualcomm came second with its 27% market share. Its smartphone SoC shipments grew both QoQ and YoY in Q3 2021. The key to Qualcomm’s revenue growth was its ability to have multiple contractors for the manufacture of important SoCs. 5G chip segment is where the US-based company showed complete dominance over its competitors. Qualcomm was able to capture 62% of the 5G chips market. Qualcomm also benefited from massive demand for the iPhone 13 back in September.

Samsung Exynos slipped to the fifth position with a 5% share. HiSilicon, on the other hand, remains affected by the US trade ban. Huawei was unable to manufacture the HiSilicon Kirin chipsets.
