Samsung has launched the Galaxy F23 5G smartphone in India. It is the successor of the last year’s Galaxy F22 and features specs like Snapdragon 750G SoC, a 120Hz display, and Android 12 OS out of the box. Samsung Galaxy F23 5G Overview

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy F23 features a 6.6-inch TFT LCD panel with FHD+ resolutions of 1080 x 2408 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Compared to its predecessor, the display on the Galaxy F23 is a slight downgrade as the Galaxy A22 featured an AMOLED display. But you do get a faster 120Hz refresh rate compared to 90Hz.

The smartphone now has a rectangular camera island. It is offered in two different color options - Aqua Blue and Forest Green with a matte finish.

Performance

The major upgrade comes in the form of a Snapdragon 750G chipset built on the 8nm process. The chip can be paired with up to 6GB of RAM along and up to 128GB of internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 1TB using a MicroSD card.

Samsung Galaxy F23 is fueled by a 5000mAh battery and supports a 25-watt fast charging. Sadly, it will ship without a power adapter in the retail box. The device boots on the One UI 4.1 shell based on Android 12. Samsung has further promised 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

Camera and Others

For optics, there is a triple-camera setup at the back. It features a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN1 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide with 123° FoV, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Upfront is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the Galaxy F23 include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone further features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics and Samsung Knox security.
