OnePlus has officially launched the limited edition OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition smartphone. As speculated, the device has the same hardware as the vanilla Nord 2, and the enhancements made to the phone are mostly cosmetic. It brings a unique Pac-Man-themed design and a new “gamified” UI.

OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition Overview
OnePlus has collaborated with Bandai Namco (the company that owns PAC-MAN’s trademark and copyright) to create the OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition smartphone. Based on the iconic retro game PAC-MAN, the smartphone has a small Pac-Man logo and PAC-DOTS on the back panel that glows in the dark to reveal a Pac-Man maze. There’s also a semi-translucent silicone case with colorful ghost characters. Similarly, the alert slider now has the same dark blue color as the TURN-TO-BLUE ghosts from PAC-MAN.

Other changes on the smartphone come in the UI. Inspired by 8-bit games, the device now has Pac-Man-themed wallpaper and charging animation, redesigned icons for OnePlus’ stock apps, and retro notification alert sounds. Furthermore, users will see 2015’s free-to-play Pac-Man 256 game pre-installed.

The Nord 2 × PAC-MAN Edition comes in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The smartphone will make its debut today in India, the UK, and Europe at the following prices; India: INR 37,999, the UK: GBP 499, and Europe: EUR 529.
