Nintendo adds a new member to its Switch family and its named Nintendo Switch OLED Model. The new switch brings a better display, enhanced audio, and increased storage. Here we will take about all the improvements made in the Nintendo Switch OLED Model. Also, we will discuss its availability and expected price in Nepal.

Nintendo Switch OLED Model Overview

The main new feature of the OLED model is of course the 7-inch OLED display. This is a major improvement from the 6.2-inch IPS LCD on the standard model. The resolution of the display remains the same at 1280 x 720 pixels. It features a new kickstand at the back and weighs around 421.8 grams with the Joy-Con controllers attached. 

Nintendo Switch OLED Model features the same Nvidia Tegra X1 processor. The biggest improvement here is 64GB of storage compared to 32GB on the standard model. You can still upgrade the storage up to 2TB using a microSD card.

Nintendo does say they have made some improvements on the audio of the switch but doesn’t specify what changes they made. Another improvement is made on the dock of the Switch. It has now an in-built LAN port, which should be compatible with the standard model as well. 

OLED Model still provides the same 4.5 to 9 hours of battery life and has approximately 3 hours of charging time. It still uses WiFi 5 for wireless connectivity and supports all of the same games and accessories as the standard model.
