Honor launches Honor 50 Pro | Comes with 100-watt Fast Charging and Dual Selfie Camera

Honor 50 Pro is the top-level flagship variant among the Honor 50 series that consist of Honor 50 and Honor 50 SE. The smartphone features a whopping 100-watt fast charging, Snapdragon 778G processor, and dual selfie camera. Honor 50 Pro is priced at CNY 3,699 for the 8/256GB variant and CNY 3,999 for the higher 12/256GB variant in China.

Honor 50 Pro Overview

Honor 50 Pro comes with bigger a 6.72-inch OLED display compared to other models on the series. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. With a resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels, the display supports HDR10+ content. The Honor 50 Pro is 8mm thick and weighs 187 grams.

Like the Honor 50, the Honor 50 Pro also comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset which makes the duo, first smartphones to feature the chipset. This 5G 6nm chipset can be paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The device operates on Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11 and outside China, the smartphone will ship with Google Mobile Service (GMS).

Apart from the dual selfie camera setup of the Honor 50 Pro, the camera setup is the same compared to Honor 50. The Pro model features a quad-camera setup at the back that consists of a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide with 120-degree FOV, and two 2MP macro and depth sensors. Upfront is a dual selfie camera setup with a 32MP wide and 12MP ultrawide sensor. The rear camera setup the Honor 50 Pro can capture 4K videos at 30/60fps, whereas the front camera can take 1080p videos at 30fps.

Powering the device is a small 4000mAh battery compared to the non-pro model but supports a faster 100-watt fast charging. For security, there is an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the smartphone features dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity.
