Apple has launched the MagSafe battery pack, which attaches at the back of the iPhone and wirelessly charges the phone. Apple says it is designed to quickly and safely wirelessly charge iPhone models with MagSafe, giving you more time to use your device. In simple terms, it is a wireless power bank that attaches to the back of the iPhone, all thanks to embedded magnets.
The MagSafe battery pack is compatible with all the iPhone 12 models that include - iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Although Apple doesn’t mention it, the battery pack might work with other Apple Products that support Qi wireless charging.

The support page for the MagSafe battery pack explains that it charges with up to 5-watt of power and the pack itself can be recharged with up to 20-watt of power. In one of the post of 9to5Mac, its is reported that the capacity of the battery is 1460 mAH or 11.2 watt-hours. If that’s the case then, the battery pack can fully charge the iPhone 12 Mini and almost fully charge the iPhone 12.
Apple also mentions that the compatible iPhone should be running iOS 14.7. Interestingly the iOS 14.7 update is not out yet, but it seems like the update will arrive before the MagSafe battery pack hits the market.
