Recently after being rated as the safest car in India last month, the Mahindra XUV 300 has again brought a new award home. As per the test conducted by Global NCAP, the SUV has been able to achieve the title for Safest Car in India. And now the XUV 300 has again been awarded with &lsquo;Safer Choice&rsquo; award for meeting the highest standard of safety and performing great job at the crash test.

The Mahindra XUV 300 has also become the first India-made car to receive this prestigious award meeting all the criteria to qualify with this honour. In the ceremony, CEO and President of Global NCAP, David Ward said, "This is a historic moment for Mahindra and the Indian auto industry, marking a tipping point in vehicle safety performance for the country. After setting our 'Safer Choice' Award challenge in 2018 it is deeply satisfying to see an Indian automaker taking a lead on safety in this way."

For a vehicle to be eligible for receiving this award, it should first receive 5-star rating for adult occupant crash safety and a minimum 4-star rating for child occupant protection. While the Mahindra XUV 300 has met all these safety requirements.
More on, for safety, the XUV 300 comes with dual-airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking), ISOFIX child seat anchors, front parking sensors, second-row seatbelt reminder and more. The top variant of the SUV (W8) comes with 7-airabags in it.
