The price of the popular Multipurpose Vehicle (MPV) from Kia- the Carens has received a second price hike this year. The MPV launched back in February 2022 in the Indian market received the first hike back in April 2022.

And now again, the price of the MPV is increased by Rs. 50,000 across different variants.

With a price of around a 1 lakh hike within a year, the MPV has remained a questionable vehicle for consumers that fits the value-for-money list.

Engine and Performance

First on, the Kia Carens is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1497cc Smartstream G1.5 engine that churns out a power of 113.42bhp at 6300rpm alongside a peak torque of 144Nm at 4500rpm.

In addition, there are two engine options alongside this- a 1.4L Petrol (138 bhp at power and 144Nm at torque) and a 1.5L Diesel (113.52 bhp and 144Nm)

The Kia Carens adopts a mileage of 15.7 km/l while the fuel of the car is stored in a 45L fuel tank.

The Kia Carens works on a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) system.

Suspension and Braking

The suspension duties in the Kia Carens are handled by a McPherson Strut with Coil Spring up front alongside a Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with Coil Spring at the rear.
