Amid the ongoing threats of COVID-19 pandemic, India&rsquo;s top automaker TVS has recently taken a grand step. TVS has recently bought the popular British bike brand Norton Motorcycles which is, in fact, a piece of great news for TVS fans.
And for completing all the process and taking on the brand name towards it, the firm had to pay around GBP 16 million (INR 153.12 crores). In a statement, Sudarshan Venu, the joint managing director of TVS said: &ldquo;This is a momentous time for us. Norton is an iconic British brand celebrated across the world and presents us with an immense opportunity to scale globally. We will extend our full support for Norton to regain its full glory in the international motorcycle landscape.&rdquo;

Since the 20th century, Norton is well known for manufacturing classic models along with an electric range of luxury motorcycles which includes Commando, Dominator, and the V4 RR. This British manufacturer had also been selling its range of motorcycles in the Indian market.
