<p>With the emerging demand and sales of<strong> SUVs</strong> on the auto market, hatchbacks have seemed to take a wrong turn as the recent sales report of Hatchbacks on the month of August has highly declined.</p>
<p>Compared to the same month of the previous year, the hatchback segment has suffered a <strong>decline of 37%</strong> this year. On <strong>August 2018</strong>, a total of<strong> 1,33,131 units</strong> of hatchbacks were sold in India while this year, only <strong>83,976 units</strong> were sold which is, in fact, a great gap on sales.</p>
<p>Here, we have listed the sales of the report of hatchbacks on the month of August along with no. of units sold in July to provide a clear comparison of the sales.</p>

<p>Glancing at the sales report of hatchbacks on the month August 2019, we can clearly clarify that <strong>Maruti Suzuki</strong>, a leading automaker in the country has taken a huge lead on the list with five of its models resting on the Top 10 list. Similarly, Hyundai has also moved ahead a tough competition being able to rest 3 of its models on the list.</p>
<p><strong>Maruti Swift</strong> has been the highest-selling hatchback on the month of August with the total sales of 12,444 units. Similarly, Maruti WagonR, Maruti Baleno and Maruti Alto have taken the second, third and fourth position with the sales of 11,402 units, 11,067 units and 10,123 units respectively. At the bottom of the list is Tata Bolt with the total sales of 23 units only.</p>
