Skoda, which has adopted an aggressive strategy in the Indian market, has replaced the Rapid with a new sedan, i.e the new Slavia. Following months of rumors, the new Skoda sedan has finally launched in the Indian market.

Slavia, which has more premium features than the Rapid, is a model that has been sold in the international market before. The Skoda Slavia offers a great combination of front butterfly grille and LED headlamps. The rear of Slavia also looks great. It has an LED tail lamp with a crystalline design on the back.

Skoda has left no stone unturned in Slavia to make it great for safety and entertainment. The company has provided AC, rear parking sensor, camera, cruise control, multi-collision brake, and up to 6 airbags. In addition, features such as a 10-inch infotainment system, wireless charging, virtual cockpit, and automatic climate control are provided for entertainment and driver convenience.

Engine and Performance?

The new Skoda Slavia is powered by a 1.0-liter TSI engine. In India, the 1.5-liter TSI engine option is also available. Customers will be able to choose between a six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as per their requirements. The former engine unit delivers a power of 113bhp alongside a peak torque of 175Nm while the latter generates 148 bhp of power with 250Nm torque. The automatic model is also offered with two drive modes: Normal and Sport.

Safety Features?

As far as safety is concerned, the new Slavia is equipped with up to six airbags alongside various other safety features such as ABS, Electronic Brake-Force Distribution, Traction Control System, Multi Collision Brake, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Hold Control, Raina and Light sensors and so on.

The new Skoda Slavia is available in four different trims- Active, Ambition, Style, and Style (Without Sunroof).
