Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Proton vehicles for Nepal, will officially launch the new SUV Proton X50 tomorrow. The company had been testing this SUV that entered Nepal one month ago on Nepali roads. A media test drive was also organized a few days ago.

The price of the SUV has already been unveiled for the Nepali market.

Available in three variants including Standard, Premium, and Flagship, the SUV is priced at Rs 71.99 lakh, Rs 79.99 lakh, and Rs 84.99 lakh in Nepal respectively. With the addition of this new SUV, a total of three models including two SUVs and a sedan of the Malaysian brand- Proton will be available in the Nepali market. The company had previously been selling X70 SUV and Saga sedans here in Nepal.

Proton X50 Overview

The all-new Proton X50 is powered by a 1.5-liter T-GDI engine (top-variant). The engine delivers a maximum of 177 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with manual mode.

In the case of X50’s lighting system, it can compete with its competitors. Its features include full LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, welcome lights, quad exhaust pipes, dual tone interiors, LCD meter combinations, panoramic sunroof, and floating floor consoles.

The Proton X50 equips up to 6 airbags for safety while other safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, etc., Features like tire pressure monitor, auto park assist and a 360-degree camera are also available.
