Oppo has launched the Oppo A55s 5G smartphone in China, which is quite different than the Oppo A55s 5G launched in Japan. Design and Display

Oppo A55s 5G features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The display here supports a 60Hz refresh rate, 4096 levels of dimming, and 480 nits of brightness. Oppo has offered the smartphone in three colors - Brisk Blue, Rhythm Black, and Temperament Gold. It measures 8.4mm thick and weighs 186 grams.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, which is a 7nm chip with support for 5G connectivity. The smartphone comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM options, while there’s only a 128GB storage option. Users can expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card.

On the software side, the device boots on the Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1. It is fueled by a large 5000mAh battery and supports 10-watt charging.

For optics, there’s a triple-camera setup at the back that consists of a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
