In the first month of the current fiscal year, more than 6 lakh mobile phones were imported into Nepal. According to the Department of Customs, the imports were at the expense of more than 4 billion Nepali rupees. Similarly, the government collected revenue of over Rs.763 million from the imports of mobile phones during the month.&nbsp;
Imports of mobile phones were 41% higher from the same time last year.&nbsp;

Along with mobile phones, Nepal imported more than 28 thousand units of laptops and notebooks, worth more than Rs. 1.4 billion in Shrawan. Similarly, more than 25 hundred units of tablets at the expense worth over Rs. 66 million, were imported the same month.&nbsp;
