Continental Trading Enterprises Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of Isuzu vehicles in Nepal has just launched the Isuzu MU-X in Nepal. This full-sized SUV can be had for Rs. 1.09 Crore. It's a full-sized SUV that is rugged and can seat 7 people.
The Isuzu Mu-X is a tough SUV inside and out. This body on frame SUV has a ground clearance of 220mm with a 30.1-degree approach and 25.1-degree departure angle. It can take any kind of road and at the same time can drive around a family of 7 with ease.

One of the highlights of the MU-X is its 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that develops 177PS of power and 380Nm of torque between just 1800 to2800rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. The in-house shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive (4WD) system allows you to shift between modes at speeds as high as 100kmph.
Having said that, this big SUV doesn't not the most refined engine, with lots of vibes and noise being felt once you start revving up the rpm. No surprise as it is heavily based on the Isuzu D-Max pickup drop. What also does not help is the loud fan noise which filters into the cabin.
The SUV also gets a Traction Control System (TCS), as well as Electronic Stability Control (ECS), controls the engine power, brakes and transmission to ensure maximum traction across varied terrain.

While the SUV may look old-school, the equipment list is quite good. You get leather upholstery and a powered driver&rsquo;s seat. There's also a keyless entry and go system as well as cruise control. This is something we already see in luxury&nbsp;full-frame SUVs like the Endeavour. What's different&nbsp;and unique about this one is a 10-inch screen that folds out of the roof so rear passengers can watch movies.
The Isuzu MU-X competes with Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in Nepal. The thing that separates&nbsp;this SUV from its competitors is the price. It's priced significantly lower- by about Rs.20-25 Lakhs. After the successful launch of the D-Max pickup truck, we can expect the same suit to follow with the MU-X.
