Vivo has just launched the lastest midrange phone, the Vivo V9 in India. The Vivo V9 is the successor to the Vivo V7 which launched in Nepal just a few months ago. 

The Vivo V9 is quite an upgrade to the Vivo V7 and comes with a new design. The phone has a tall 19:9 aspect ratio screen with Full HD+ resolution. In terms of hardware, the phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC and 4GB of RAM. What's more? There's 64GB of onboard storage on the phone. And in case you were wondering, there's also a dedicated microSD card slot using which you can expand the storage up to 256GB. 

And since this is a Vivo phone, we can't complete this story without talking about the camera. On the front, there's a brand new 24MP camera which the company claims to be powered by AI technology. Vivo claims that using Artificial Technology algorithm, the phone can by itself adjust the skin tone. 

At the back, there's a 16MP+5MP camera with f/2.0 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The secondary rear camera is used for bokeh effect. 

Finally, the Vivo V9 comes with 3260mAh battery. Unfortunately, there is no support for quick charging on the phone. To add insult to injury, the phone comes with Micro-USB Port instead of USB Type-C port.

Vivo has just launched their latest smartphone, the Vivo V9 in Nepal which is their flagship mid-range phone for Nepal. The phone mimics the iPhone X on the front but has a bezel at the bottom (although a small one). The phone has launched in Nepal for Rs. 37,790. Hence, it falls on the upper region of the mid-range smartphone market in Nepal.

The design of the phone is undoubtedly its best feature. The resolution of the phone is 1080 x 2280 pixels (400ppi) and to top it all off, the screen-to-body ratio is 85.2%, which is one of the best in this price segment.

The phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC and comes with 4GB of RAM. On the camera front, the phone comes equipped with a Dual rear camera (16MP+5MP) feature f/2.0 aperture. 

But that's not the interesting part about the phone. What is, is the all-new 24MP f/2.0 which is also capable of shooting videos at 1080p. 24MP means that details will be preserved even when an image is cropped in. The company also claims that the skin tone of the people is also natural thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence technology. 

 The Vivo V9 comes with 3260mAh battery which is decent in capacity. We are yet to test the performance of the phone but the battery capacity suggests that the phone will easily last a day.

The Vivo V9 Youth comes with 6.3-inch 1080 x 2880p display which also happens to perform really well outdoors. It's also good to see that companies are pushing the 1080p+ panels on their phones and not 720p panels anymore.

Like with most of the mid-range smartphones out there, the Vivo V9 Youth too comes with a&nbsp;dual-rear camera. It's a 16MP+2MP setup with dual-LED flash. From what I understand, the secondary lens is just a gimmick and won't add value to the output of the phones. But I will wait till I get hands on the device myself.&nbsp;
Powering this phone is a 3260mAh battery which should easily last a day if not longer. Sadly though there's no USB C port in sight. That's what I hate about these Chinese smartphones. They for some reason stick with the old USB Type-B standard.&nbsp;
The&nbsp;V9 Youth is launching on 5th of May and should be available for purchase in a weeks time. You can expect the phone to be priced under Rs.30,000 when it becomes available.&nbsp;
